As the sounds of the hooves stop, the echo carries on for a few seconds, then falls silent. The leading Giraffe leans its head over the railing and notices 100 more following behind, all stopping one at a time. As the leading giraffe begins to walk a giraffe far down at the bottom collapses and falls slowly into what seems to be water...
As the snow falls outside, you can hear the wheels of the doll on the floor stop, the role of the doll's eyes moving. From inside the store you can hear little footsteps of a child walking on the soft snow, then carried on with the sound of chalk being pressed against a wall. As the sound of the chalk being pressed against the wall stops, you can faintly hear little footsteps begin to walk away; they suddenly stop, and begin again, but this time they are getting closer, as if she has noticed the doll sitting and table.
The dolls in the store notice a girl that looks very similar to the doll, and they knew what was going to happen next. The girl then stares into the window, looking at the doll, she looks away to see if she can get into the shop, but suddenly the doll is gone. She begins to walk away, then the door opens with a loud but slow creek. She slowly walks towards the shop, with every step getting louder and more crunchy on the soft snow. She arrives at the door noticing the weird shape of the window and the bell on top, she notices how many dolls are inside but she ends up locking eyes with the same doll she saw in the window. She begins to calm down and feel safe, walking over to the doll on the creaky floor stepping over a doll on the ground. Out of the corner of her eye she sees that one of the dolls has moved. She thinks nothing of it, ignores it. As she begins reaching for the doll on the shelf she sees a glove laying there on a green sofa, seeming to belong to a child. She walked over to the glove, her feet dragging across the creaky wood floor.
She meets the green sofa with the glove and stares at it for what felt like eternity, eventually reaching for the glove picking it up. All the other dolls stared at her as she held the glove, She then saw a doll all the way at the top of the shelf missing a glove, she began to climb the sofa and reach for the doll, She grazes the doll with her finger tips, then her palm, then her whole hand and grabs it. She stared at the doll, admired it, she then eventually noticed how dark it was getting outside, She carried the doll with her and heard a little voice saying "help us." She looked around not knowing where it came from, She then looked down at the doll in her hand, and listened closely. Can she hear another voice? "Help us", this time she knew she heard what she heard. She drops the doll and begins to run out, but as she is running the door closes and locks.
She begins to panic and realize there is no escape, she begins to cry then as she starts to hear more voices this time louder telling her to "let them free". She doesn't know what to do in this situation so she picks up a doll and throws it with all her strength at the window, it shatters into pieces with a loud crash and with the doll flying outside and onto the snowy path. She notices a glow coming from the doll outside. She starts to climb outside and walks towards the doll, out of nowhere the doll dissolves and notices a human figure, a little girl appears where the doll last was and hears a voice that says, "I'm free".
Aroha was a kind girl with not so kind people around her. Aroha loves to stroll through the forest to the seaside. With every second a new thought going through her mind. As she walks along the stony path she remembers her past and worries about her future. But as fast as her worries appeared they also disappeared because she had arrived at the seaside. As she saw the magnificent view she felt free. As the wave crashed against the rocks and sand she could hear the birds tweeting beautiful tunes. With all these sounds she could no longer hear the negative thoughts over her mind. Now she could hear the beautiful world and the unique sounds of the ocean.
He wakes up with a smile. Getting out of bed he hears birds chirping and people speaking. Looking out the window he sees a bright blue sky and a shining sun covering the street and rooftops. He quietly rushes to his sisters room to see if she is awake. To his surprise she is. He asks if she would want to play at the park. She replied with an "of course." They woke their parents, ate breakfast and prepared for a fun day out. Finishing packing they exited through the front door and felt the fresh air and the golden warm sunlight hit their face.
They begin to stroll to the park passing houses, cars and people on their way. But then they pass a particular house. They notice that the fence has been broken. They both started feeling uneasy. As they stroll away a dog breaks through the already wrecked fence and begins rushing towards the brother and sister, then everything goes black.
He awakes to see his little sister in shock. He feels a wet substance run down the side of his face. Then he feels himself being lifted into the back of an ambulance. As the medics close the back doors he sees his sister crying while his parents stand, then it went dark. What he didn't know was that his parents friends had phoned them as they had seen what happened.
As the doctors and nurses place him onto a hospital bed he suddenly wakes. They get such a shock they nearly drop him. The doctors and nurses give him painkillers and anesthesia. As intended, he falls asleep. Outside in the waiting room his parents are there, with worried expressions on their faces and their crying daughter next to them. They couldn't let go of what had happened to their son.
The doctors begin to do surgery and as fast as it begins it suddenly ends. The doctors breathe a sigh of relief. The parents, still worried about their child, are surprised at the condition of his face. Their child was still fast asleep as they signed hospital forms and papers. The family that owned the dog are very sorry and apologetic.
A few days have passed since the attack. But at the end of it he never blamed his sister for what happened as he said "If someone was gonna die that day it was going to be me".
